Privacy notice

This notice covers the Mimicly email list: the addresses people leave on this site to hear about Mimicly's launch, founding member pricing and product updates. It says what we keep, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are

The list is held by Mimicly. We are the data controller for the list.

For anything about your data, email privacy@mimicly.io.

What we keep

When you join the list, we keep:

Nothing else. We don't keep your name, your IP address or details of your browser with your entry.

Why we keep it

To email you about Mimicly's launch, founding member pricing and product updates. We don't use the list for anything else, and we never sell it or share it with other companies for their own use.

Our lawful basis

Your consent, given by ticking the box when you signed up. You can withdraw it at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or email privacy@mimicly.io, and we'll delete your entry.

Where it is kept

The list is stored with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in its London region, in the UK. AWS is our processor: it stores the list for us under contract and can't use it for anything else. Like any website host, AWS handles your IP address while it delivers these pages and while it blocks abusive traffic, but your IP address isn't stored with the list.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. Our first email will ask you to confirm your address. If you don't confirm within 30 days of that email, we delete your entry.

After we delete an entry, a copy stays in our backups for up to 35 days and is then gone for good. A backup is used only to recover from a fault, never to add you back to the list.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Email privacy@mimicly.io and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
